Shocking death of a tourist in the Tatra Mountains. Fell from a high height
In the area of Koziej Pass (High Tatras – between the Zamari Turnia and Kozimi Czubs) there was an accident with a shocking mileage. The tourist did not survive.
The Polish Press Agency informed about the event – journalists refer to the Tatra Volunteer Ambulance Service, from which they received sad news.
TOPR intervened around the summit, which is 2126 meters high.
The tragedy took place on Monday (September 8). Representatives of the Volunteer Ambulance in the afternoon received information about a tourist who fell from considerable height. Unfortunately – he could not help him anymore.

PAP talked about the event with the TOPR rescuer on duty. Łukasz Kowalczyk pointed out that after information about the accident, a helicopter with a team of rescuers was immediately sent. When they found themselves in the right location, they immediately left the deck and threw themselves to help him. They performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CCP), but this did not bring the expected result. The death of a tourist was soon found.
The man’s body was transported by TOPR helicopter to Zakopane. Kowalczyk told PAP that a total of seven lifeguards of the Tatra ambulance participated in the rescue operation.
The circumstances of the tragedy are not public. First, the activities of police officers from Lesser Poland will be established during the activities. The man’s identity is also unknown.

At the end of July, however, we informed about the incident that occurred on the switch above the Buczynaj valley to Orla Percia (the longest border trail in the High Tatras). TOPR described the event on Facebook.
A tourist with Polish citizenship required urgent help because he experienced a knee injury. He was physically exhausted. The rescue operation consisting in trying to get him out of Orla Percia took a trifle nine hours.
