She underwent surgery and a wave of hate poured out on her. Kinga Zawodnik: This is not a “shortcut” but the beginning of hard work

Less than a year ago, Kinga Zawodnik underwent bariatric surgery. In an interview with “Wprost”, she talks about the difficulties associated with the procedure and the hate she had to deal with. “Usually women hate me,” she emphasizes.
Paulina Cywka, “Directly”: Soon it will be a year since you underwent bariatric surgery.
Kinga Player*: Yes. July 26th to be exact.
How did your transformation begin? When did the thought first come to your mind that you wanted to take care of your body and figure?
My thirtieth birthday was such a turning point. After that, I decided to make an appointment with a doctor. However, it took me a long time to mature to the decision to have the surgery. It took me almost 2 years. During that time, I had various things on my mind. However, I would like to emphasize that I did not decide to have the surgery for aesthetic reasons. For me, it was a secondary issue.
So it was primarily about health reasons?
Yes definitely.
I was mainly guided by health factors. This was really my “last call.” The last moment to even qualify for bariatric surgery.
Why?
I didn’t have any health problems that could be a contraindication to the surgery. These include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, etc. So this was really the last moment to perform the procedure safely, avoid many complications, and maintain its effects permanently.
There are many myths surrounding bariatric surgery.
Yes. I have encountered them many times myself. Many people believe that this is a shortcut. Weight loss without effort. Personally, I am very hurt by such opinions. No one who has not experienced such an operation knows what it really means.
So what is it then? bariatric surgery?
