Sharp words of the president of the Ekstraklasa club. “There are no sports journalists in Poland”

Mateusz Dróżdż was a guest of the “Business Class” program on the YouTube channel. And this would not be surprising, after all, we are talking about the president of the Cracovia football. The Krakow club has a huge tradition, and in addition football is a sporty space for large business. However, it turned out that the president of Cracovia in one of the threads of the conversation, decided to refer to the environment of sports journalists in Poland.

Attention to the fragment regarding the issue of sports media representatives in the country, was donated by journalist Matzyki.pl Dawid Dobrasz, placing a quote from the aforementioned conversation, on the portal X.

It caused a considerable discussion quite quickly, in which both media representatives and fans took the floor. Here are the words of the president of Cracovia.

– There are no sports journalists in Poland. I speak honestly and insolently. I think that there is now such a pursuit of information that I call it, that these are informants. “I wrote first that Jan Kowalski would come to Cracovia” – this is not journalism. I understand the journalist when he assesses Jan Kowalski and says: “But this Dróżdż did a poor transfer, because he is not suitable for the style of play.” We run behind the information, you can see the most in football. Interestingly, during the same conversation, he somewhat denied the initially spoken words, finding one journalist, whom he wanted to distinguish by name. Adding to the fact that it is actually, it is such “several journalists”.

– But it wouldn’t be that he criticizes everything. There are, for example, a few journalists, as I was in an interview with Tomasz Ćwiąkała, whom I respect very much. But there is such a “golden rule” that they, however, assess the substantively football, and not in terms of what he writes first – added the president of the Premier League club from Krakow.

Somewhat surprising inconsistency, especially considering what was made at the beginning of the previously cited statements. Emphasizing that these words are “honest and insolent”. It is difficult to rationally explain where such a top -down assumption, based on the aforementioned winter grouping of Cracovia in Turkey.

And even if the assumption was wider, looking at the appearance of the media and many years of “pursuit of news”, then there are still such representatives of this industry, whose words can certainly hurt, being completely wrong with their work.
