There are several matches in the text of TVP Sport, in which disturbing events were to take place during the winter break in the context of bookmakers’ activities. I am talking about a procedure that is to be repeated in various football configurations.

Winter sparrings of Polish teams were set up?

Action of bookmakers, fatal referee decisions, and finally distorted results. Among the teams whose matches were to be set are, among others Wisła Płock, KKS Kalisz, and even the league Motor Lublin.

We are talking about a lack of honesty from the decisions made by the referee of the meeting or some players of the opposing teams, mainly focused on easy profit, which they could record in a collision with appropriate bookmakers.

– Russian bookmakers also had an impact on the match of Lech Poznań from Cukaricki, where the courses pointed to at least four goals. And indeed, that’s all. Lech supporters were very happy with the high win. It is a pity that they did not look at what the players from Belgrade did with the lost goals – reported in TVP Sport informant Karol, whose name was changed.

Let us add that thanks to the cited man in 2022, the editor flashes in his text he pointed to irregularities at the football level of the III league in Poland.

Now the author of the text has additionally announced that a disciplinary spokesman for the Polish Football Association was informed about the case.

“Adam Gilarski assured us that PZPN has a magnifying glass we described the matches,” we read in relation to shocking reports about winter sparring.

Corruption scandal in Polish football at the beginning of the 21st century

The most famous story of the last dozen or so years, associated with football in the national edition and scams, is the famous corruption scandal – as the events from the beginning of the 21st century are defined. It was an investigation that began in May 2004, after the article of the Wrocław issue of Gazeta Wyborcza.

The case concerned the match between Polar Wrocław and Zagłębie Lubin, ending with the high victory of the latter as much as 4: 0. However, this was just the beginning. In total, about 600 people were accused in connection with the scandal. Both players, coaches and judges, observers and club employees, involved in the scandal, were punished.

Among the convicts were, among others Ryszard Forbrich “Hairdresser”, a man considered the main figure of the scandal, but also former Polish representatives – Dariusz Wdowczyk, Andrzej Woźniak and Łukasz Mierzejewski. The scandal was very extensive. The “black list” also included Wit Żelazko, a former referee and football observer, once a longtime expert in the iconic Canal+ program about Polish games, league+ extra.
