A dangerous collision between two Legia Warsaw players

Unfortunately, just before the end of the first half of the match, a very dangerous situation occurred involving two Legionnaires – Kacper Tobiasz and Artur Jędrzejczyk. The players collided with their heads and fell to the pitch. The bloodied goalkeeper managed to get up and leave the pitch on his own, while the defender had to be helped by doctors.

The injured players did not come out for the second half, and were replaced during the break by Gabriel Kobylak and Radovan Pankov. “Tobiasz and Jędrzejczyk went to the hospital during the break,” said Goncalo Feio.

What happened to the Legia Warsaw players?

Kacper Tobiasz had to be stitched up by doctors. – He had a pretty deep wound on his forehead. It needed stitching – said Feio, quoted by TVP Sport.

In the case of Artur Jędrzejczyk, the situation looked much more serious. – As for “Jędza”, he had to be transported because he lost consciousness on the pitch. He had a CT scan, he is waiting for the results – said Legia coach Goncalo Feio.

– It’s not perfect, but it’s not too bad either – the coach admitted after the match.

The website legia.net reported that the injured players “were returning to Warsaw on the club bus, together with the team”.

When is the next Legia Warsaw match?

Legia Warsaw will play their next match on Thursday as part of the Europa Conference League qualifiers. It is not known whether Jędrzejczyk and Tobiasz will be able to play in this match. The military will face Kosovo’s KF Drita, whom they defeated 2-0 in the first match. The players will hear the first whistle at 8:00 p.m. The match played in Kosovo will be broadcast on Polish Television. Jakub Kwiatkowski, director of TVP Sport, informed about everything.
