Secret flights to Poland. Warsaw says “no”
Israeli special services directed a surprising request to Polish airports. This is the aftermath of the incident that occurred in Katowice.
Newsweek journalists Mariusz Gierszewski and Dominika Długosz reached the amazing request that Israel’s special services directed to airports in Poland.
Israel with a surprising request to Poland
Citing permission from the services, one of the carriers He asked the management of the Chopin Airport in Warsaw to make information about his air connections from Israel disappear from the information boards placed at the airport.
According to journalists, the idea of keeping flights appeared after incident that occurred at the Katowice-Pyrzowice airport. After a young woman from Palestine noticed on the board information about the landing of an aircraft from Israel, she stood near the output gates with banners, where she had anti -izrael slogans related to the war in the Middle East.
This is how Polish airports reacted to the request from Israel
The Katowice airport was supposed to respond positively to the request of the Israeli special services and not display information about flights from Israel. The management of the capital’s Chopin Airport reacted completely differently. It is from the capital that most flights on the Poland-Israel route take place.
– The airport did not agree to such a solutionbecause it doesn’t make sense. After all, these planes can be easily discovered, seeing on flightradar24. There is also this information provided elsewhere, e.g. on the airport website – explained Mariusz Gierszewski.
The journalist added that trying to keep flights can bring the opposite effect. Reason? Hiding information about air connections can arouse curiosity and various suspicions that something special is happening around the flight, since it is kept secret.
In connection with the situation in the Middle East, many airlines have suspended connections with and to Israel. In August, the flight restored the possibility of traveling – first from Warsaw, and then also from Katowice.
