Poles are increasingly willing to choose intelligent solutions in home entertainment. Traditional viewing of television gives way to digital, personalized entertainment.
Samsung Smart TV, thanks to the connection with the Internet and the support of artificial intelligence, becomes not only the home entertainment center, but also a key element of an intelligent home. According to the latest data, as many as 3.875 million Samsung TVs in Poland were actively connected to the network in 2024, which confirms the growing popularity of this technology among Polish consumers.
Samsung a leader of home digital transformation
The 19th year in a row Samsung is a global leader in the TV category, and in Poland – continuously for 21 years – it remains the most frequently chosen brand in this segment. The popularity of Samsung Smart TV is not accidental – this is the result of the consistent development of innovative functions and the wide availability of content that responds to the changing needs of users.
Televisions connected to the Internet allow much more than just watching television programs. Thanks to the SMART TV platform, users gain access to thousands of applications, films, series, music and services that are supported by artificial intelligence technology. AI analyzes user preferences, adapting image and sound quality, and also suggesting the most interesting content.
TV in the center of the Digital House
The number of devices connected to the network is growing every year. In 2023, the average Pole already used seven devices with internet access, and forecasts talk about up to 16 such devices per person until 2028. Smart TVs play a growing role among them. According to PMR Market Experts, in 2024 there were over 6 million such devices in Poland, of which over 60% were Samsung models.
Users are more and more willing to use the possibilities offered by the Internet on the TV. The average daily use of Samsung TVs exceeded 6.3 hours in March 2025. The most advanced models, such as QLED 4K, Neo QLED, The Framed or Samsung OLED, are used particularly intensively, which confirms the growing role of the TV as the main source of multimedia at home.
The variety of applications and change of user habits
Samsung Smart TV users currently have access to over 1000 applications, including over 200 in Polish. The analysis of the use of the application shows that viewers are increasingly using various sources of content. The average increase in the use of the twelve of the most popular applications was as much as 57% year on year.
Among the ten most frequently chosen applications, those focused on video content – streaming of movies, series and linear television dominate. Spotify is also high in the list, which confirms the growing interest in music and podcasts at home.
In addition, among the fifteen most commonly used applications, as many as five offer access to standard television. The operator application segment is also developing dynamically. On the other hand, there is a stable interest in playing in streaming.
SmartThings – one application, many possibilities
The popularity of the SmartThings application, which enables integrated home devices management, is also growing dynamically. In December 2024, 2.4 million devices were already connected via applications, of which as much as 80% were Samsung products. In total, 5 million users in Poland already use the SmartThings application.
This application allows you to manage not only TV, but also household appliances, sensors, lighting and security systems. In this way, Samsung Smart TV becomes a central element of an intelligent home, supporting comfort, functionality and safety.
Artificial intelligence in the user’s service
Modern Samsung models use advanced AI algorithms that not only improve image and sound quality, but also allow better matching the device’s functions to the individual preferences of the user. Thanks to this, using the TV becomes even more intuitive and comfortable.
In models from 2025, AI functions are not only responsible for optimizing image parameters, but also support automatic content recommendations and integration with other intelligent devices at home.
Prospects for the future
Company forecasts assume that by the end of 2025 the number of Samsung TVs actively connected to the network in Poland will exceed 4 million. Changes in the consumption of content and the growing popularity of the SmartThings application indicate that the role of the TV as a home entertainment and intelligent home center will continue to grow.
