Samsung launches the world’s first TV with a RGB micro matrix
Samsung has just announced the official premiere of the world’s first TV equipped with an 115-inch screen with a matrix with micro RGB diodes. This groundbreaking display sets a new reference point in color loyalty, contrast quality and sense of immersion in the image in the Ultra-Premium segment.
The technology patented by Samsung consists in placing just below the surface of the ULTRA-GREAT MATRIERY screen of glowing microdiods with red, green and blue (RGB)-each with a size smaller than 100 µm and each controlled individually. Unlike the conventional matrix, this architecture gives precise control over each of these diodes, i.e. the general color reproduction.
– The screen with a matrix made of micrometer RGB LEDs achieves unprecedented precision of color reproduction control and the scale of contrast, thus raising the bar in the TV industry – said Taeyong Son, Vice President and Head of the R&D Team of the Visual Display (VD) Business in samsung electronics. All these diodes – and each of them – are controlled by AI algorithms optimizing the image, but also dealing with sound processing. This advanced technology analyzes each cage in real time and automatically optimizes colors to display a more realistic and addictive image. Thanks to artificial intelligence, Pro color amplifier (Color Booster Pro) In the version modernized to support the Samsung Mikro RGB matrix, it recognizes scenes with matte shades of colors – and all this to intelligently improve their reproduction in all content, thus ensuring even more vivid and more addictive visual impressions.
In addition, the TV has the function of increasing the precision of color synthesis (Micro RGB Precision Color)thanks to which they are played in a controlled manner, making the image alive and maximally realistic.
The screen reaches 100% coverage of the BT.2020 color range – the international standard of fidelity of colors introduced by the International Telecommunications Association (ITU). The display also received the “Mikro RGB Precision Color” certificate from Verband der Elektrotechnik (VDE), a leading German Institute of Certification in the field of electrical engineering.

Regardless of the new generation technology, which went to the interior of the TV, its designers meticulously made sure that its extremely slim, minimalist metal housing fits elegantly into every room.

It is based on generative artificial intelligence and provides television users with more conversational and personalized experiences, thus allowing them to derive more of the content viewed, and without taking their eyes off the screen.
Samsung Micro RGB TVs are also protected by Samsung Knox, a security solution in the industry, designed to protect users’ sensitive personal data. What’s more, it also provides up to 7 years to update the Tizen operating system, which not only provides continuous software improvements, but also long-term support.
After the debut in Korea, the Samsung Mikro RGB TV will hit the US market, and the plans of global distribution will include various sizes adapted to local preferences.
