Data presented on Monday by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) shows that the average gross salary in the enterprise sector in September this year was PLN 8,750.34. This is an increase of 7.5%. compared to the same period last year. – The average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector in September 2025 was 7.5% higher than a year ago – informed the Central Statistical Office.

The average salary is slightly lower than in August

The Central Statistical Office also reported that in September the average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector decreased nominally by 0.2% compared to the previous month, which means that people earned more in September than a year ago, but slightly less than in August.

In August, the average salary was PLN 8,769.09 gross, which meant an increase of 7.1%. year to year. September was therefore another month in which price increases significantly exceeded the pace of price growth – consumer inflation in the previous month amounted to 2.9%. year to year. On the other hand, we are again moving away from the barrier of PLN 9,000, which we managed to cross in March this year, when the average salary was PLN 9,055 gross.

The average monthly gross salary in the enterprise sector includes basic salary and additional remuneration components, including: bonuses, awards, overtime pay and retirement severance pay.

The Central Statistical Office also announced today that in September this year average employment in the enterprise sector amounted to 6,409.9 thousand. full-time positions, which means a decrease of 0.8%. in relation to the same period in 2024.

It is worth emphasizing that the data presented by the Central Statistical Office concern entities from the enterprise sector, which is part of the national economy. This sector includes entities employing at least ten employees (approximately 40% of all people working in the Polish economy).
