“Rybitwa” will bypass the Polish city. Residents will not be able to get to the seaside
The inhabitants of the Polish city counted on a direct connection to Kołobrzeg offered by Polregio. Unfortunately, the train will take a different route again.
The new summer train timetable did not satisfy all passengers. The victims feel, among others: residents of Lublin who still have no direct connections to Tricity. Residents of Włocławek do not hide their reservations about the designated routes. Their town was not on the “Rybitwy” route, i.e. a cheap, seasonal train offered by Polregio from Toruń to Kołobrzeg.
Residents want Polregio from Włocławek to Kołobrzeg
Włocławek, located in the heart of Poland, does not complain about the lack of connections to the Baltic Sea. We can get from here by direct trains to Tricity, and even by night train to Hel. The problem arises when it comes to Kołobrzeg. Although residents have at their disposal two Intercity trains going in this direction (Zamoyski and Staszic), they are still missing the Polregio train. Unfortunately, this is the next season when this carrier will bypass the station in Włocławek. “The train starts from Toruń Wschodni and does not include Włocławek or Aleksandrów Kujawski. This means that residents of this part of the region cannot conveniently use this connection,” writes the Dzień Dobry Włocławek portal.
Lack of appropriate infrastructure
It was not without reason that the inhabitants hoped for something more. Since the launch of the seasonal line-up, i.e. from 2024, there have been announcements about extending the route in the future. The voivodeship marshal indicated the lack of appropriate technical infrastructure to operate and maintain the depot as the main reason.
The “Rybitwa” train will run to Kołobrzeg from June 22 to August 31, only on weekends. The train will start from Toruń Wschodni station at 5:32, and will arrive in Kołobrzeg at 10:37. The return train will leave the seaside resort at 5:02 p.m. and arrive at the last station in Toruń at 9:55 p.m. There is no denying that this is a great opportunity to plan a one-day and cheap trip. On the way to the sea, the train will stop, among others: in Bydgoszcz, Piła, Szczecinek and Białogard.
