Ryanair’s video has netizens laughing out loud. ‘Is this even legal?’

Ryanair’s official Tiktok profile has posted a mocking video that has amused hundreds of thousands of internet users. “Why do you keep posting this?” the Irish airline is asking customers. “Is this even legal?” commenters are wondering.
There are a lot of videos online where bloggers and influencers who deal with travel show tourists how they can easily save on extra baggage. In one of them, a popular Tiktok user advises putting a piece of clothing – underwear, for example – in a small pillow, which we then take on board the plane.
The film was shared on Ryanair’s social media, but it was not left without comment. The video was cut, and the next steps of the instructions were decorated with an eloquent commentary.
“Championship”
The film, which has already been viewed by over 3.5 million people, features mocking captions. The company has directly called the way to save money a “scam”. “How to cheat Ryanair?” – the “guide” is summed up. In the meantime, a woman appears, who looks at the influencer’s proposal expressively, with clear distaste. “Thanks, now we know (how to do it – ed.)” – read the captions at the end of the material. “Why do you keep publishing this?” – the airline asks Internet users.
The idea presented in the film may seem tempting to some, but it is illegal. Internet users themselves asked about it directly under the film. It is worth knowing that if a passenger is caught, the service staff of many transport companies will ask such a person to pay a fee for excess baggage. It can even amount to over PLN 100.
Bottles up to 100 ml. Available from September
In the context of luggage, it is worth knowing that from September, a decision taken by the European Commission comes into force regarding the limits of liquids that can be transported throughout the EU.
Airports in the Netherlands, Great Britain and Germany have installed modern scanners that were supposed to speed up check-in and eliminate limits on liquids (cosmetics, medicines) that passengers can carry in their hand luggage. However, the idea did not work out and the devices did not meet technical expectations. So they returned to the old guidelines, well-known to travellers – bottles with a capacity of up to 100 milliliters. We wrote more about this here.
