Ryanair is helping Poles. A new payment method has appeared
A new payment method has appeared on the Ryanair website. The Irish carrier fulfilled the requests of millions of Poles.
At the beginning of October, Ryanair presented its customers with a new method of paying for tickets. Up to 16 million Poles were waiting for the arrival of Blik at the Irish carrier, who regularly use the generated codes when shopping with other service providers. This is not the only important change in the popular airline, because this autumn Ryanair will also abandon traditional paper boarding passes, replacing them with an application.
We will pay for Ryanair tickets with Blik
Not only the payment card, but also Blik is already among the ticket payment methods available on the Ryanair website and in the carrier’s mobile application. After selecting this option, as in other websites, simply enter the six-digit code and then confirm it in the bank’s mobile application. According to Fly4free.pl, this year alone the Irish carrier plans to serve over eighteen million passengers on routes to and from Poland – this solution will satisfy many of the carrier’s customers.
Digital boarding passes
Although for some tourists the introduction of Blik means a revolution, this autumn it will actually take place not on the Internet, but at airports. From November 12, Ryanair passengers will no longer be able to download and print a physical boarding pass, which means they will be required to download the carrier’s application. What about passengers who don’t have a smartphone? “They can ask a friend or family member to collect the boarding pass on their behalf. After checking in, the passenger will receive assistance at the airport, where the staff will be able to check that he or she has been checked in,” reads a statement from the carrier’s press office.
Battery discharge in the phone should not be a problem either. If a passenger checked in online, the check-in staff will know the sequence number and will let him through without any problems, even if his smartphone is turned off.
