Ryanair’s net in Poland will shrink this month. A new summer timetable is to enter into force, which will worry about tourists. Here’s what changes await them.

Ryanair is a carrier chosen by tourists in Poland quite often. Recently, he has been positively surprised by promotions for flights and even new connections for 2025. This time, however, it turns out that the news is unpleasant. Some routes will disappear from Polish airports.

Ryanair deletes connections

On March 31, Ryanair’s summer flight schedule enters into force. According to it, some connections from the port of Kraków-Balice and Gdańsk will disappear. It is also known that the announced seasonal novelties for Poznań or Wrocław will not be launched. At the end of the month from the capital of Lesser Poland we will not fly to Berlin, Dortmund and Billund in Dani, where tourists loved to look into the famous LEGOLAND. It seems that in this case they will have to rely on the proposal of a competitive Wizz Air carrier flights.

The liquidation of these routes can be particularly severe, because so far Poles could use them throughout the year. And that’s not the end. The Warsaw-Modlin airport will not be so rich in connecting Ryanair as before. We will no longer fly to Liverpool, Leeds/Bradford and Vienna. Added to this are Katowice-Pyrzowice, which lose flights to Dortmund.

Why does Ryanair remove routes from Poland?

The routes disappear for financial reasons. Ryanair has long announced that if operating costs and aerial taxes are growing, he will immediately change the strategy of his actions and move where it is cheaper. As you can easily see, a lot of connections to Germany have disappeared from the summer schedule. The reason is high fees imposed on site by the German government. It also got expensive in Danish Billund.

The Irish line said that further maintenance of these connections would not pay off, even if the increase was only PLN 17. Currently, competitive carriers come to the rescue of tourists, who will definitely benefit from Ryanair’s withdrawal. Thanks to this, the changes should not be so severe. It is known today that Wizz Air will increase the number of flights to Dortmund and offer new flights to Billund. Travelers will also be able to use flights with transfers, still using Ryanair.
