Robert Lewandowski’s farewell goal! Great Pole class at the end

Robert Lewandowski said goodbye to all honors in the ranks of FC Barcelona during the penultimate series of games of the 2025/26 season. The pride of Catalonia played the match on Spotify Camp Nou, the Pole received the captain’s armband, after the final whistle there were many beautiful gestures and thanks to RL9.

But that trademark, on-pitch something that has always characterized Lewandowski was missing. Goal. The Pole made up for it on Saturday (i.e. May 23) by scoring an away goal against Valencia.

Looking at the goalscoring achievements of the captain of the Polish national team, he scored 13 goals in LaLiga. The Polish striker scored his goal number 14 in the second half of Saturday’s match. It was a goal in the 61st minute of the match, opening the scoring.

The scenario of this action was like something out of a movie. It’s not about charm, but rather the fact that Ferran Torres assisted with the goal. That is, the one who competed with Lewandowski for the place as number 9 on the pitch. What’s more, Torres just left Valencia for Manchester City, from which he was bought by Barcelona in 2022. This is therefore a very sentimental place on the map of Spanish football for the Spaniard.

Lewandowski showed cunning and reflexes, perfectly placing his foot on the ball, which… was not necessarily originally addressed to the Pole. You get the impression that Torres wanted to shoot more than pass. But it worked out very well for RL9. The Pole with the captain’s armband could be happy once again, confirming that he is the man that the Spanish champions may miss next season, especially in terms of such situations in the opponent’s penalty area.

Let us add that in the end Bara lost the match against Valencia 1:3. The hosts hoped to successfully fight for European cups until the very end. However, the pass was won by the neighbors from the league hierarchy, who also won their last matches.

Overall, however, this is not a problem for Barca, who is confident of winning the championship, or for Lewandowski – who, in his shooting style, said goodbye to the Spanish league. The Pole’s goal was an honorary goal at the end of the 2025/26 season. And for RL9 himself, it was the end of his career in the Pride of Catalonia.
