Robert Lewandowski not for Polish fans! A huge blow before the debut
On the night from Thursday to Friday, at 1:30 a.m. Polish time, Chicago Fire players will return to playing in MLS. Will this be the day of Robert Lewandowski’s debut?
Such a scenario cannot be ruled out, especially since Fire strongly counts on the Polish striker’s contribution to the team’s play. The Chicago club brought in the biggest star in the history of its appearances in MLS.
Robert Lewandowski is certainly also hungry for success. This is very typical of the career of the captain of the Polish national team. It will certainly not be different when playing on pitches in the USA.
Robert Lewandowski’s debut in Chicago Fire. Where and when to watch?
However, the reality of Chicago Fire is different than what Polish fans have become accustomed to in recent years. Lewandowski, performing in the ranks of, among others, Bayern Munich or FC Barcelona, was available practically at… the reach of the TV remote control.
If you’re playing in MLS, you’ll have to make extra effort to watch a match featuring RL9.
A few days ago we reported that none of the Polish television stations were interested in obtaining a sublicense for the American-Canadian matches. Moreover, the Pole’s transfer to the USA was even treated as… early retirement.
– Matches in the middle of the night, the league is slightly ridiculous and Lewandowski leaving the big stage. These are the main reasons why the television market is unlikely to react to this transfer – admitted Michał Kołodziejczyk, head of the sports editorial office of Canal+, quoted by PRESS.
So where can you watch MLS matches if they are not available on well-known TV channels such as Polsat Sport, Eleven Sports, or Canal+ Sport? The only solution is the Apple TV platform.
Those interested will therefore have to include a subscription of PLN 34.99 per month in their home budget. This is currently the only solution on the Polish market to see Lewandowski in Fire colors.
Who knows, perhaps over time one of the Polish television stations will decide to sublicense it. As is usually the case, everything will depend on the viewership numbers of RL9 and the matches featuring the “Firefighters”.
The Chicago Fire – Vancouver Whitecaps match will take place on Friday (July 17), at 1:30 a.m. Polish time.
