Robert Lewandowski lost his nerves. The problem from Germany repeated itself

Robert Lewandowski

Another turn in the history of Robert Lewandowski and FC Barcelona. The Polish striker is clearly dissatisfied with the situation in the capital of Catalonia.

We reported on WPROST in the middle of the week about the criticism that fell on Robert Lewandowski’s shoulders after FC Barcelona lost against Atletico Madrid (0:2) in the Champions League. The Pole, like his colleagues, did not find a way to beat the rival goalkeeper, and Barca is one step away from being eliminated from the Champions League.

The end of Robert Lewandowski in Barcelona? Shocking news!

It turns out, however, that the Pole has no intention of being a scapegoat for the problems of coach Hansi Flick’s team. Lewandowski has already sent signals to the Spanish champions several times that he is interested in extending his contract – possibly the last one in his career – with the Pride of Catalonia. However, Barca is still delaying, and RL9’s contract expires in June 2026. This is not a comfortable situation, especially for the player.

Additionally, there are interesting reports in the media. We informed WPROST about Juventus’ strong interest in the Pole. Interestingly, the Italian club even sent its representative to observe RL9, who appeared in the stands of the PGE Narodowy during the Poland-Albania match (2:1). Let us remind you that the Pole scored a goal for the national team, equalizing the score 1-1, at an important moment.

However, it turns out that “Lewy” is more interested in… another Italian club. This is AC Milan, whose accession to the services of an experienced striker appeared at the earliest among all European clubs from the TOP 5 leagues in Europe.

Moreover, Lewandowski is currently feeling bad in the ranks of Barcelona, and the situation that the Pole experienced in Bayern Munich is repeating itself. Let us recall that the Polish striker left the giant from the capital of Bavaria in an atmosphere that was far from optimal. There was no bad blood or any major scandal, but the fact is that the German team did not seem to sufficiently appreciate the importance of the Polish star. Additionally, interest in a potential, younger successor to Lewandowski was revealed. Interestingly, even the Norwegian himself praised RL9, suggesting that the Bavarians treated their biggest star badly. And in the end, Bayern did not buy Haaland, who became a Premier League star – in the colors of Manchester City.

So are we witnessing the end of the history of Lewandowski and Barcelona? The Pole has been a player of the Pride of Catalonia since 2022. He moved to Spain to take over the rebuilding of Barca with his name, which he actually managed to achieve.

However, it seems that now Joan Laporta (president) and Deco (sporting director) – did not quite know the right moment to make a proposal regarding RL9. Takowa was supposed to appear – in the Pole’s eyes – too late and only at the moment when it actually became clear that the Polish sniper was still able to give the team important goals. Although not necessarily in a situation where – as in the Champions League quarter-final against Atletico – he is taken off the pitch after the first 45 minutes.

And this was additionally due to a red card for a teammate, which forced coach Hansi Flick to reshape the squad. Overall, without RL9, it didn’t help anyway, because if it was zero, it was zero – it was Barca’s goal against Atletico.
