Robert Kubica in the AF Corse team won the 93rd edition of the famous, 24 -hour Le Mans race. The Pole revealed what his further plans are.

There is no doubt that Robert Kubica was – next to Polish volleyball players winning in the League of Nations – the hero of Sunday looking at the sports world. The success of the best Polish driver over the past two decades in the French race, he was widely heard around the world.

– In 2021 I told my teammate Louis Deletraz that if I win 24h Le Mans, I won’t come back here anymore. I also talked about it two days ago with one of the employees of Ferrari, who is also a rally driver. He told me: “I heard that if you win, you will retire.” I answered him: “If I win, I will return to rallies.” I usually keep my word. It is worth recalling that the Pole in 2013-16 competed in the world rally championships, and in his debut season, together with the pilot Maciej Baran, he became the world champion of WRC 2.

In addition to the great success of Kubica in Le Mans and his colleagues, it is worth emphasizing that the Polish team Inter Europol Competition #43 triumphed in the LMP2 category. It is also a huge success from the perspective of a Polish motor sports fan.
