He explained that he decided to use it because he received assurance from the specialist that he would disappear from his body within 72 hours. He also blamed the head of the Polish Anti -Doping Agency.

In connection with the breaking of the rules, Iuta hung the player for two years. In addition, he was deprived of the world record at ten times Ironman.

The interested person himself seemed not to worry about the punishment imposed on him. A few months later – in February 2024 – he again stood at the start, this time at Anvil Ultra Triathlon in Florida. He covered the distance of the five -time Ironman in 60 hours. 21 min and 24 pp. So more than 7 hours faster than the previous world record.

This time he was also caught breaking anti -doping rules. Drostanolone and Klomifen, which are on the list of prohibited funds, were detected in the Robert Karasia’s body. Since the competition was played in the United States, the Pole’s case was taken by experts from USADA.

On Friday, January 24, the American agency issued a message in which it was reported that Robert Karaś will be severely punished – he was suspended for eight years. USAA explained that it was decided to do such a sentence because The ultrathriathlonist has been caught doping for the second time in the last 10 years. What’s more, the Pole will have to give all prizes and medals he received from the day of start in the Florida competition.

The USADA decision will not come into force only when Iuta’s current suspension expires, which ends on May 29, 2025. Thus, the player’s suspension will not end only in 2033.

Karaś responds to the allegations of USADA

Therefore, it was not possible to impose a different penalty. I could not participate in the proceedings because I had a challenge in Bahrain – he commented.

– Due to the race, I asked them to change this date, but they were adamant and said that the trial would take place on December 20. Everything took place without me – he argued, adding that intends to appeal. – There was evidence of only one side, but calmly, now we have time, we will appeal and I am sure that the punishment will be different – he emphasized.

The 35-year-old covered himself with the challenge he imposed on himself. He declared that he wanted to make 150 Ironman, day by day. – I will deal with all this matter only after the challenge is completed, because it is too fat and you have to collect too many documents, I don’t have a head for it now. I have to focus on the start – he said.

Robert Karaś, despite the penalties imposed on him, continues to try his hand at extreme triathlon. Agnieszka Włodarczyk’s husband is currently in Bahrain. In the second half of 2024, he announced that he would try to cover Ironman’s distance for another 150 days. Eventually he ended his challenge on the 57th day because he complained about leg pain.
