Revolution on board LOT. Tourists will be delighted
LOT Polish Airlines has launched Wi-Fi service in the first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. More planes are waiting in line to also gain a new function. This means great convenience for tourists.
Using the Internet while traveling by plane is very important, especially for people traveling on long routes and working remotely. Some people do not want to waste even a moment to escape from the network, and now it is possible in one of LOT’s machines. It is also a convenient option for people looking for entertainment, including: movies, games or music without having to download them to disk first.
LOT boasts Wi-Fi
The Polish carrier announced the introduction of a Wi-Fi network to one of its B787 machines on March 6, 2026. On that day, it began a major rollout of the Internet to its long-haul fleet. We will notice the change in other machines by the end of April this year. – two more Boeings.
The effect of these activities is a response to the needs of travelers, but also the result of following the opportunities offered by new technology. More and more airlines plan to introduce similar facilities. Recently, there has been a lot of talk about, among others: about attempts to introduce the Internet on board Ryanair.
LOT was much quicker to adopt new solutions, wanting to allow travelers to stay in touch with their loved ones, work remotely and use online entertainment during the flight.
Internet in LOT. You can count on that
The provider of the latest generation of on-board Internet, Viasat Amara, is Viasat. As Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of the Product Development and Customer Experience Office of LOT Polish Airlines, assures, the choice of such a partner was not accidental.
“We wanted a solution that would ensure stability and high quality, which is why we chose a partner with established experience in aviation, whose technology is used by carriers around the world. Our passengers travel with different goals and expectations. We want them to be able to spend their time on board exactly as they need – productively, in contact with loved ones or in complete relaxation,” we read in the statement.
Is the network available for free?
LOT allows free use of the Internet for LOT Business Class passengers and participants of selected partner airlines of the Miles & More program with specific statuses, regardless of travel class.
