Sławomir Mentzen will become the new head of the Confederation club, reported “Rzeczpospolita”. The politician will replace Stanisław Tyszka, who was elected to the European Parliament. Sławomir Mentzen will become the new head of the Konfederacja club
According to unofficial reports, one of the Confederation leaders was disappointed with the party’s result and also needed time to realize his business priority, which was to introduce the company to the stock exchange. On Friday, he announced that “the debut of Mentzen SA on the stock exchange will take place on July 2”. – He realized that he had not appreciated the importance of formal positions – commented one of the Confederation politicians.
Mentzen is also said to want to use his position as head of the parliamentary club in connection with the presidential primaries of the Confederation. His most serious rival will be Krzysztof Bosak. Mentzen wanted to run for president earlier, but in 2020 he was not yet the required 35 years old.
Presidential primaries in Confederation. Will Sławomir Mentzen take the lead?
– He claims that being the head of the club can improve its image before the primaries, although of course he realizes that this will not decide the result – can be heard in the Confederation. Przemysław Wipler is to become the vice-chairman of the club. A few days earlier, the politician announced that he had become a member of the supervisory board of the company Kancelaria Mentzen. Wipler, due to his residence in Warsaw, is to perform many duties on behalf of Mentzen, who is associated with Toruń.
The club’s current vice-chairs are Michał Wawer from the National Movement and Włodzimierz Skalik from Grzegorz Braun’s Confederation of the Polish Crown. “There have been no cases so far of any divisions or violent votes within the club’s presidium. We try to make decisions based on consensus,” said one of the Confederation’s MPs.
