Przemysław Babiarz summed up by Zbigniew Boniek. "Nobody will beat..."

The echoes around the opening ceremony of the games in Paris are not dying down. Przemysław Babiarz, who commented on the event for TVP Sport, has become loud.

Already during Friday’s broadcast, extreme comments appeared regarding the way Przemysław Babiarz spoke about the event in the capital of Paris. The experienced journalist, who has been associated with TVP Sport and TVP itself for many years, did not refrain from making several unsophisticated comments. For example, he assessed the famous song “Imagine” by John Lennon, the message of which he compared to… the times of communism.

Paris 2024: Zbigniew Boniek assessed Przemysław Babiarz’s performance

As is the case with comments, especially those in the online edition, there was no shortage of opinions from both the more and lesser known. Zbigniew Boniek assessed Babiarz’s performance in his own style. The former great footballer, in the past also the president of the Polish Football Association, and currently the vice-president of UEFA, wrote briefly on the X portal.

“Nobody will beat Babiarz anymore…” – quoting Boniek’s post exactly.

On the other side of the barricade stood, for example, former prime minister, during the rule of Law and Justice, Beata Szydło. The politician even thanked a TVP Sport journalist for the way he described the moment we mentioned in the context of the song “Imagine”. Former minister Przemysław Czarnek was also pleased.

Iga Świątek and the Polish national volleyball players enter the game

Fortunately, man does not live by ceremony alone, and the most important thing during the games are sports results. For this reason, Polish fans will be able to watch, among others, performances by Iga Świątek and the Polish national volleyball team during the first weekend of the Olympic competition. This will be on Saturday, July 27.

The next day, on Sunday, the Polish volleyball players will take to the pitch, among others, after showing off their excellent skills during – how else? – the opening event of the 2024 Olympic Games. This time, coach Stefano Lavarini’s team will play on the pitch. The Polish women have returned to the Olympic tournament for the first time since 2008.
