The report shows that in the previous month the prices of fatty products (an increase of 14.2 percent year on year) went up the most up). The dynamics of price growth in this category are overstated by two products – butter and oil with increases by 17.3 and 18.7 percent, respectively. annually.

The second position in the ranking included stimulants (coffee, tea, alcohols, etc.) with an average height of 10.3 percent. year on year. On the lowest step of the podium, however, the recent path leader is, i.e. fruit (an increase of 9.1 percent per year).

Vegetables are cheaper

The reduction – in relation to July 2024 – amounted to 1.7 percent. – In the summer, the supply of domestic vegetables is significantly growing, which affects price reductions. This is a typical phenomenon when market supply is powered by fresh products from local crops. However, vegetable prices are very susceptible to weather and seasonal changes – comments Dr. Tomasz Kopyściański from the University of WSB Merito, emphasizing that the current decline can therefore be temporary and does not necessarily herald a lasting deflancy trend.
