President of the Polish Football Association with important information for fans. We’re talking about the Polish national team
Cezary Kulesza spoke after the Poland – New Zealand match. There were many opinions that the event was simply unsuccessful in many respects.
What exactly are we talking about? We mentioned in Friday’s text that the attendance at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium was a big disappointment. There could be many reasons. From ticket prices, through the social nature of the meeting, awareness of the lack of performance of the biggest stars, weather conditions, starting time and date.
Cezary Kulesza with important information. Signal regarding matches of the Polish national team
In the last few weeks, there has been a breakthrough in terms of the place where the Polish national football team plays its matches. PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, for various reasons, was temporarily left without national team football. However, the players played in the above-mentioned Chorzów, and in the longer term, the idea of the Polish national team visiting again, among others, returns. in Wrocław, Gdańsk, Poznań and Kraków.
How do the PZPN management, headed by Cezary Kulesza, think about this idea? It seems that in the context of a temporary “move” from Warsaw, there is a green light.
– We’ll see who we will play against in the Nations League. I also believe in opening up. All the stadiums that were built were built with taxpayers’ money, most of them. We will also want to make a bow so that the matches that will be played in other cities will also be played. So that fans can watch this national team in their own city. But let’s wait for the decisions (…) I wouldn’t like to declare myself today, but it will definitely be taken into account. And we’ll just see, because these are still stadium-level talks. We know that each stadium reports to someone. So we will also have to talk administratively – said the head of the Polish Football Association in a program on Channel Sportowy.
When and against whom will the Polish national football team play?
In October, the team led by coach Jan Urban was and is planning to play two matches. The friendly match against New Zealand, although in difficult weather conditions, resulted in a 1-0 victory. The decision at the Superauto.pl Śląski Stadium was brought by an impressive goal by captain Piotr Zieliński.
The Poles will play the second match in October for qualifying points. The away match between Lithuania and Poland will start on Sunday (October 12) at 8:45 p.m. This will be a match of key importance for stabilizing the situation in the group table, in the context of fighting either for the play-off zone or direct promotion to the 2026 World Cup.
The last international break, closing the qualifying rounds for next year’s World Cup, will take place in November. First, the hit clash between Poland and the Netherlands (14/11) at the PGE National Stadium, perhaps for direct promotion to the World Championships, and at the end of the qualifying competition, the departure of the Poles and the match between Malta and Poland (17/11).
