Karol Nawrocki

On Tuesday, November 4, the Chancellery of the President announced that Karol Nawrocki had signed 10 acts. These included an amendment to the regulations preparing for the creation of the Central Communication Port.

The amendment to the Act on the CPK covers, among others, the issue of real estate in the areas that will be used for the construction of the Central Communication Port. The legislator tried to better protect the people living in this area.

President Nawrocki signed the act on the CPK

“The amendment to the Act on the Central Communication Port introduces a higher level of guarantees for owners of real estate that will be expropriated for the needs of the Central Communication Port and includes solutions aimed at improving the functioning of the SPV,” the press release said.

The above-mentioned amendment was adopted by the Sejm at the end of September with the votes of 420 deputies. None were against and none abstained. The CPK Act now provides for the possibility of paying advances of up to 85%. compensation.

Additionally, the act assumes the introduction of a new structure for location decisions. Now it does not automatically mean the commencement of compensation proceedings for the expropriated property. The amendment will make it immediately enforceable. This is to enable, among others, commencement of proceedings to determine the amount of compensation and the possibility of using the property by CPK for construction purposes.
