Let us remind you that we informed about the surprising direction of Andrzej Duda’s further career in August this year. The matter was announced by, among others, former president Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
– Recently I heard that Andrzej Duda would like to become the president of the International Olympic Committee (…) the Olympic movement has its own rules for selecting, first, members of the IOC and then the president of this world organization. Moreover, for many years there has been a very significant change when it comes to the composition of the Olympic Committee, because it mainly seeks former athletes, coaches, Olympians (…) Well, I understand that Andrzej Duda is looking for something to do after his presidency. Will Donald Trump help Andrzej Duda in the IOC elections?
It turns out that Andrzej Duda’s idea for the future, directly related to the Olympic movement, is not a pipe dream. Especially with an ally on your side who has recently been the talk of the world. Will Donald Trump, president-elect after his great victory over Kamala Harris, help Duda in the race for the head of the International Olympic Committee?
Opinions vary. Here is one of them.
– President Duda will certainly want to mean something on the international arena after the end of his term and will count on Trump’s help. Can it go to the IOC? I have no idea, but it should be taken into account that the support of the US president can both help and harm. 2040 Olympic Games in Poland? Interesting results of the Wprost.pl survey
At the beginning of November, we presented a survey related to Poland’s bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics. The research was conducted by SW Research Agency.
When asked “Do you support the idea of organizing the Summer Olympic Games in Poland in 2040?”, the majority were positive about this proposal. Looking at this issue in percentage terms, over 45% of people in Poland said “yes” to the Olympic Games 2040. If the answer was “no”, just over 36 percent Additionally, the group of undecided people amounted to 18.2%.
