A minute later the hosts replied after hitting Ruben Vargas. Wojciech Szczęsny, present in Barca’s goal, did not have much to say at the goal of the hosts. The Polish goalkeeper, however, played one of his best on Sunday evening, if not the best meeting, in the colors of Barcelona.
The Pole impressed the intervention, in several actions saving the skin to visitors. Guests from Catalonia finished the match in weakness after a red card for Fermin Lopez. Interestingly, the footballer introduced in the 46th minute scored a goal after a few dozen seconds, and after another nine minutes … he received a red cardboard box.
Admittedly, he strongly marked his presence in a Sunday meeting.
Lewandowski finally played 70 minutes in the Sunday match. The goal in Seville was 19 in the Laliga season in the RL9 edition. The Pole, therefore, has as many hits at this stage as throughout the previous campaign. The match with Sevilla was the number 23 for Barca.
This shows best in how great the shooting form “Lewy” is in the 2024/25 season. The second in the classification of LaLiga Kylian Mbappe snipers, Real Star, has 16 hits.
