Poznań is on fire! Scenes from Lech’s championship celebration spread around the world
Lech Poznań became the Polish football champion for the tenth time in history. The celebration in the capital of Greater Poland was huge, and the pictures circulated on social media.
If we look at the history of Kolejorz, Lech’s players won five Polish championship titles before the 21st century. In 2010, the Poznań club added the sixth trophy of this type (with Robert Lewandowski in the squad), and then in the seasons: 2014/15, 2021/22, 2024/25 and the most recent one – i.e. 2025/26.
Especially the achievement of defending the championship title in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa is worth appreciating. Kolejorz clearly wants to continue its good series, including an effective fight in European cups.
Lech Poznań is the Polish champion! Amazing celebration after winning the title
The national champions will be very close to achieving their great goal of qualifying for the Champions League. Due to the UEFA ranking, in which top league clubs have made a solid advance in recent years, it is very likely that Kolejorz will be seeded even in the decisive round to enter the league phase.
However, the Champions League is a melody of the near, but still future. Poznań residents had the right to celebrate their success from Saturday to Sunday. It started at the stadium on Bułgarska Street. In the last round of the 2025/26 season, Lech drew with Wisła Płock (2:2). Interestingly, the goal that meant a draw for the guests was scored by… Marcin Kamiński, closely associated with Lech, who has played for the Poznań club practically since his junior days (although he comes from Konin). For the over 41,000 in the stands, this was no problem. After the final whistle, Kolejorz could start celebrating.
Although Lech’s captain, during the match, when he was replaced, went to the section of the club’s most ardent fans to celebrate together. Swedish striker Mikael Ishak once again showed how important Poznań is in his career.
What was happening on the streets of the capital of Greater Poland? There was a lot going on, but it is worth emphasizing that in the atmosphere of celebration, but not brawls or any gigantic problems.
Poznań fans can have fun, celebrate and appreciate the success achieved by the players of their beloved club.
And not only the fans, as you can see in the video below.
And there is no doubt that the 2025/26 season was truly special in terms of emotions. For a long time, it was difficult to choose the strongest team in the field, and there was no shortage of sensational results almost every round.
At the end, however, Kolejorz, for the second time in a row, showed that he was the best in Poland.
