Polish women became world champions! This is the greatest success in history

The gigantic success of Polish hockey on the grass. The Polish women’s national team has reached for the gold medal of the World Indoor Championships!
Polish women defeated Austria in the Sunday final. For the Polish national team it is the first medal in the history of the World Championships – and immediately we are talking about a golden disc. Fih Indoor Hockey World Cup, played in Croatia, turned out to be very happy for the Polish team.
Amelia Katerla recorded a scale of gold.
It is worth adding that for Polish women it was the fifth start at a hmś party. Best places before gold 2025? Twice fifth places in 2011 and 2015.
Indoor World Championships: Polish national team with gold!
The Polish team in a great style went through the whole tournament. In group competitions, Polish women took first place, with two wins and one draw. Interestingly, the only loss of points is 1: 1 at the opening of the competition with … Austria. As it turned out later, for the second time both teams have already met in a direct game for gold.
Ultimately, Polish women did not lose any meeting, as befits the best team in the stake.

The best shooter in the HMŚ 2025 tournament in the Polish team was Marlena Rybacha, author of four hits. Monika Chmiel entered the list of shooters three times. Viktoria Zimmermann hit HMŚ 2025 twice, and after one hit Marta Czusziewicz, Amelia Katerla and Julia Balcerzak added.
It is also impossible to underestimate the work of Marta Kucharska’s goalkeeper. Poland Ostoja between the posts could, among others defend a penalty kick in the final battle. She supported her teammates many times, showing off great performances in the tournament.
In total, the team of coach Krzysztof Rachwalski deserves great applause for success, the largest in the history of Polish hockey on the grass in the indoor edition, looking at the World Championships.
