Artur Szpilka, a boxer, MMA player and a real celebrity got a film that will show not only his fights in the ring, but also everyday life, emotions and private struggles with problems.

“Szpilka” – a story about a fight and man

The creators ensure that the documentary film “Szpilka” will not be limited to the presentation of sports successes, but will show all the boxer – from youthful dreams, through the ups and painful falls, to new challenges in MMA. The document was based on many hours of conversations with the hero, observing his life and unpublished archives.

Szpilka itself says that production has a wider dimension than a classic portrait of an athlete. “This is not just a document about an athlete. This is a story about man and emotions that do not end in the ring. About the fight that each of us goes on … The one with the opponent and the one that happens deep inside. About strength, falls and how difficult it is to get up when life counts more than anyone else” – emphasizes the boxer.

Career full of blows, falls and returns

Artur Szpilka has always aroused great emotions and aroused controversy. At the age of 19 he became the amateur Polish heavyweight champion, he also won the cadet European runner -up. When he failed to qualify for the Olympic Games in Beijing, he decided to go to professionalism. His path, however, was not strewn with corners. For some time he had to stop his career because of … in prison in prison. After being released, he returned quickly to the prestigious WBC Federation.

In 2014, he fought a loud fight with Bryant Jennings, and two years later he faced the heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder. Although he did not win the title, for many fans he remains one of the most brave Polish boxers. Over time, MMA became interested in, where he began a new stage of his career, not always positively evaluated by his previous fans from boxing times.
