Polish volleyballers can do a show! A great return and a crazy finish

Volleyballers of the Polish national team compete from Wednesday during the tournament in Chinese Xi’an. The team under the baton of coach Nikola Grbcia in China appeared in a composition of players with much less international experience than players like Wilfredo Leon, Bartosz Kurek and Tomasz Fornal.

However, this does not bother Poles to achieve another victory in the League of Nations. After the Dutch (3: 1), the time has come for Japanese (3: 1).

However, it turned out that volleyball did not know hopeless cases, and the ambitious fight to the very end of the Poles made them break the Japanese confidence, pulling the number 1 set, ultimately winning the advantage of 27:25. It was a really great moment for the Polish team.

Such a return was built by the team with the finalists of last year’s VNL edition. The second party in the basic composition of Poles began with the already mentioned Sasak (preferably scoring in the Polish team), Szalpuk remained on the pitch, and the Poles began to show why even in a heavily changed composition – relative to the largest national stars – they are able to present a really pleasant volleyball for the eye.

The arguments on the plus of such a team of Grbcia were defensive work, and a tight block, and at the same time he plays with different zones, including the middle ones who made use of wise decisions on the side of Jan Firlej. In addition, Szalpuk’s experience (he got unpleasantly ball in a finger after one of the blocks, fortunately, he played the meeting) or Szymura, also had a positive effect on stabilization on the Polish side.

One set escaped Poles again (the third loser 18:25), but at this stage of the season, this situation seems to be inscribed in the cost. It is worth adding that on the other side of the net French Olympic champion (IO 2020) Laurent Tillie, also could not use the biggest stars of Japanese volleyball. In addition, a lot of emotions appeared at the end of the fourth party, when from 21:18 or 23:20, 23:22 and finally 24:24, 25:25, and even set balls for Japan appeared at 2: 2 in the match.
