Polish volleyballers are gold! Concert final and knockout world champions

Before starting the match, one of the most important questions was whether Tomasz Fornal would be available to coach Nikola Grbic. Ultimately, however, the host, injured in the semi -final with Brazil, was converted by Kamil Semeniuk.

This turned out to be another great movement from the Poles’ coach. What’s more, a lot of good was spoken and writing – rightly – about Kewin Sasaku, number 1 on the offensive of Poles. The attacker in the game for gold, however, played a bit worse than usual. But it was then that the duo of the hosts, i.e. the mentioned Semeniuk and – above all, Wilfredo Leon (preferably scoring) took the matter into his own hands.

What was the final clash? Poles struggled with Italy in the opening set the most. This was visible after the final result, i.e. 25:22. Ultimately, it was the most even result, because the next two views were the full control of the Polish team. What’s more, when there were fragments to the amendment, he reacted to Grpić – even by changing Jakub Nowak to Szymon Jakubiszak. The latter came in in the second set and immediately added his own.

It is also worth appreciating the right distribution from Marcin Komenda. What Michał Kubiak spoke about before the final did not work in the end – that it turned out to be a good solution in the clash with the world champions. Although you can have some doubts about the simplicity of playing, ultimately using certain solutions is not bad.

You also need to appreciate the Polish block, demonstration of strength and tactical consequences. Jakub Popiwczak also did his job again, taking very difficult plays, also in defense.

League of Nations: Second gold for the Polish national team! Poles, the table leader

Gold won during VNL 2025 is the second medal of this color for Polish volleyball players in this competition. Earlier, Poles won in 2023 during the tournament played in the Tri -City Ergo Arena.

Interestingly, looking at the table of all time, the Polish national team took the lead. Poles have two gold medals, one silver and three brown rings. The League of Nations has been played since 2018 and is the younger sister of the former World League. Polish volleyballers won “Światka” once in history, in 2012.

It is worth adding that the Brazilian bronze medals were won by Brazilians. Brazil, which Poland beat in the 3: 0 semi -final, in the Sunday match at the 3rd place. Slovenia in four parts – a revelation of the tournament. Slovenes were able to deal with the quarter -finals with two Olympic champions and defenders of the VNL 2024 title, i.e. the French team. As you can see, a lot happened in the Chinese final Eight.
