Polish volleyball players are coming back to the game! Hit clashes await the representation

From Wednesday in Belgrade, Polish volleyball players will start the second league of Nations tournament. Polish women are waiting for hard competition, among others with world champions and a rematch for IO 2024.

Three wins in four matches. With such a balance, the first VNL 2025 tournament was completed by volleyballers of the Polish national team. In Beijing, the team led by coach Stefano Lavarini showed quite solid playing, which brought many good moments, but it certainly is not yet the target form. However, this does not have to be, looking at the challenges of this season, with the most important, i.e. the world championships. During the event of this rank in 2022, Polish women jumped on the quarter -finals.

League of Nations: Hit Serbia – Poland and a chance for a rematch with Americans

The mentioned World Championships 2022 was also the moment when the Polish team had only a few months of work with the new selector. Lavarini has already arranged the team according to their functioning standards since then. What’s more, it turned out so well that PZPS extended the contract with Italian and with hopes looks at the next challenges, with the most important, i.e. the Olympic tournament – Los Angeles 2028.

A few serious tests are waiting in Belgrade. For dessert, on the last day, competition with housewives, i.e. current world champions. Serbians are also a team that eliminated the Polish team during the 2022 World Cup – winning a memorable, five -hundred thriller at the quarter -finals in Gliwice.

The Polish national team will also have bills in the clash with the USA. The Americans eliminated the Lavarini team during last year’s Olympic tournament. In Paris it ended with three sets, and the US finally reached for the runner -up of the Games. On the other hand, Polish women were better than Americans – and in their area – during the VNL 2023 final tournament, in the game for brown rings.

Looking at the appointments of coach Lavarini, relative to the first tournament in China, Julita Piasecka and Central Weronika Centka-Tietianiec will enter the action from “new faces”.
