On Saturday, June 7, the Police Prevention Department in Katowice prevented a clash between the fans of Ruch Chorzów and GKS Jastrzębie. The officers were serving at that time as part of securing the passage of fans.

As emphasized, in the interests of the safety of incident participants and bystanders, the police used direct coercion measures. A warning shot from a smoothbore weapon was fired, after which a group of aggressive men moved away from the scene.

At that time, the services identified 330 people, some of whom were not allowed into the stadium.
