Polanex, a company from Gniezno, which has been sewing shirts for world fashion houses for 80 years, has launched its own premium brand, while maintaining 100 percent. Polish production – informs “Property News”.

A company that has been sewing shirts for such names as Karl Lagerfeld or Yves Saint Laurent for decades, has announced the start of its own Premium brand – Polanex Since 1945.

Polanex – epoch -making changes

The company focused on the B2C model and launched online sales, while maintaining full, 100 percent. Polish production. This is an important step in the diversification strategy – Polanex does not give up cooperation with external brands so far, but also wants to develop an independent direct sales channel, responding to the challenges of the clothing industry, such as seasonality of orders or price pressure.

– Polanex is a clothing plant from Gniezno, which has been sewing shirts continuously since 1945 – for years only for external customers. Among his contractors were, among others Karl Lagerfeld or Yves Saint Laurent. Our company has retained a unique business model, whose components are several key factors: full production in Poland, own plant, own team, 80 years of study and quality confirmed by the largest fashion houses. We are one of the few plants in Europe that combine full control over production (from design to a ready product) with flexibility towards the requirements of luxury brands. Polanex – from the plant for world brands to your own brand

The new, author’s Premium Polanex brand offers five shirt lines. The whole process – from the design, through cutting, sewing and finishing – takes place in Poland, which is rare against the background of the global fashion market. The company employs about 150 people in Gniezno and is based on its own plant and team.

As the company’s representatives emphasize, business models are based on full production integration, Fair Employment and a transparent value chain are not only included in ESG global trends, but also in the real needs of consumers and the labor market in Poland. The project is implemented with the support of the Industrial Development Agency.

History of a clothing company from Gniezno

Polanex has been operating continuously since 1945, when the first manufacture was launched in post -war Gniezno, exactly on April 5. Initially, almost everything was sewn here – from towels to uniforms. In 1951, the company began to specialize in shirts, and in 1957 adopted the name Polanex, referring to the traditions of the Polan region and export of Polish products.

For decades, the plant produced over 60 million shirts, building its position as a solid partner for brands from around the world.
