Poles rushed for a reactivated benefit. “One big fake”
Last weekend of the province Warmian-Masurian launched its own tourist voucher. The interest in the benefit was so great that the servers were fallen before the start of the program. Internet users do not hide frustration.
After the success of the Podlasie tourist voucher, the next region decided to reactivate the benefit operating in 2020-2023. I am talking about the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, which launched the program “Autumn in Warmia and Mazury”. It is implemented by the Warmian-Masurian Regional Tourist Organization.
Tourist voucher. Huge interest in the benefit
The program started on September 27 (not accidental date, because on Saturday it was World Tourism Day) at 11.00. To generate a voucher, you had to set up an account on the dedicated website www.bonwarmiamazury.pl, log in and choose an interesting amount. So much theory, because – as “Fakt” informs – obtaining a voucher was not so easy. Interest turned out to be so great that the servers were fallen before publishing the vouchers. The newspaper journalist was only after a quarter of an hour to refresh the site, managed to go to the login page, but after entering the data, the page stopped responding again. Ultimately, the voucher was generated after 22 minutes of effort.
However, not everyone was so lucky. Internet users did not hide their frustration. “Nothing works, trash!”, “Compromise”, “One big fake”, “embarrassment as always, the site does not work from 10.50 … Nothing opens” – these are just some of the comments of irritated users. People who have succeeded that you need patience and constant refreshment of the site.
Warmian-Masurian Regional Tourist Organization admitted that the servers were overloaded and there were breaks in the visibility of the website. Shortly after 12.00 there was information that the pool of vouchers worth 500, 300 and 200 PLN has already been exhausted.
A voucher worth PLN 500 was entitled to accommodation in 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, PLN 300 for accommodation in 1— and 2-star hotels, guesthouses, motels and apartments, and PLN 200 for accommodation in hostels, campsites, guest rooms, shelters. The pool of funds to use is PLN 2 million.
To use the voucher, you had to reserve a minimum of two nights, in the period from October 1 to December 15.
As mentioned, the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship is the second region after the Podlasie Voivodship, which decided to reactivate the tourist voucher. Podlasie has already announced that next year he intends to launch the next edition of the program. The recent SW Research survey for “Wprost” shows that 45.7 percent Poles want to reactivate a tourist voucher on a national scale. Slightly less, because 40.3 percent respondents are of the opposite opinion, and 14 percent There is no opinion on this matter.
