In the last quarter of 2024 alone, nearly half a million telephone numbers were transferred in mobile networks, according to UKE data. Orange Polska lost the most customers.

The Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) presented data on number portability in the last quarter of last year and the entire year 2024.

It turns out that in the fourth quarter of last year, a total of 435,902 phone numbers were transferred in mobile networks. That’s over 65 thousand. more than in the previous quarter, when 370,670 numbers were transferred.

Which operators lost the most customers?

Data provided by UKE show that Orange Polska lost the most as a result of porting numbers. The operator acquired 92,457 numbers and gave away 120,912, which in the final balance means the loss of 28,455 SIM card users. T-Mobile ended the quarter by losing 10,434 customers, while Polkomtel (Plus network operator) lost 1,878 users. In turn, P4 (Play network operator, data excluding UPC Polska) gained 16,972 card users in the last quarter of 2024.

In fixed-line networks, a total of 76,117 numbers were ported in the fourth quarter of last year. That’s over 17,000. more than in the third quarter, when this number amounted to 59,049.

Throughout 2024, a total of 1,512,029 numbers were ported in mobile networks. That’s almost 48 thousand. more than in the entire year 2023, when 1,464,262 numbers were transferred. – As a result of porting numbers, Orange Polska lost 39,570 SIM card users in 2024, Polkomtel (Plus network operator) lost 115,120, T-Mobile ended the year having lost 12,690 users, and P4 (Play network operator, data excluding former UPC Polska ) gained 61,030 card users – informs UKE.

The office also reports that last year a total of 252,917 numbers were ported in fixed-line networks, over 78,000 more than in the previous year. less than the previous year, when the number was 331,523.
