Poles love this attraction. We will pay more for it this spring
Nobody likes when the attractions we know are more expensive. Unfortunately, ticket increases also reached Pieniny, where tourists will pay more for the popular Dunajec rafting. The season starts at any moment.
Dunajec rafting in Pieniny is one of the unique and popular attractions in the mountains. It could not be used in winter, but from April 1 it will be possible again. Tourists swim on the spot with special rafting boats, which is associated with many years of tradition. Now they will pay more than a year ago.
Dunajec rafting will be more expensive
In 2025, we will pay PLN 6 more for the Dunajec rafting. Such changes have already been announced by the head of the Pieniński Flisak Association Jerzy Regiec. This means that the rafting is to cost PLN 97 plus PLN 8 for an admission ticket to the water trail of the Pieniny National Park (PPN). The most expensive will be at the peak of the season and on long weekends, e.g. a picnic. Then the price will increase to PLN 103 + 8 PLN for admission to PPN.
Although such changes will not appeal to most tourists, they turn out to be inevitable. It is good news that there is a discount. For example, students will pay PLN 70 (plus PLN 4 for a ticket to PPN) during the “low” season and PLN 74 (plus PLN 4 per card) at the top of the season.
Still other rates are to apply to organized groups. Rafting for 12 people costs PLN 950 – when it comes to students up to 18 years of age, and other groups will pay PLN 1,000.
The start of the season is getting closer
Preparation for the start of rafting in the Pieniny, they are at its best. It is known that it has already been planned, among others tests. “On March 28, a control trip is planned, during which we will examine fog and remove any obstacles applied by the river. We are currently checking boats and repair and build new units. We also make minor repairs at the marina,” said the president of the Pieniński Flisak Association Jerzy Regiec.
He noticed that there were concerns about the water level in Dunajec – he is disturbingly low because of dry winter. After all, the attraction should be open to tourists.
About 250 sets of boats will be waiting for us, and rafts are to run every day from April 1 to October 31, except for the first day of Easter and Corpus Christi. The beginning of the route is a rafting marina in Sromowce Wyżne – Kąty or in Sromowce Niżne, and the end in Szczawnica. The whole trip lasts 2 hours 15 minutes or in Krościenko – 2 hours 45 minutes.
