Poles who are waiting for a return from Zanzibar can talk about the nightmarish end of the holidays. An unforeseen fault extended the waiting time for the plane by almost a day. Even before 11:00 it was not known when they would come back.

On the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the Czarter ENTER Air line informed passengers about problems with the return cruise from Zanzibar, which resulted from the fault. The plane was to set off to Poland late in the evening.

“Dear passengers, we would like to inform you that the ENT7036 cruise from Zanzibar to Warsaw cannot be made as planned due to the impossible to predict the fault of the electrical system of the aircraft” – we read in the communiqué.

From the next – posted on Thursday before 11:00 it showed that tourists were still waiting around. Over the next 4 hours, they are to be found when a return flight will take place.

“We know that the conditions are not perfect. Zanzibar at the peak of the season has a limited hotel base, and our possibilities of action are determined by local infrastructure. Our representatives do everything possible in these circumstances,” Enter Air said.

The carrier at night reported that his representative in Zanzibar organizes accommodation for all passengers for waiting time, and lines work on a replacement flight organization. “The expected delay will be about 20 hours,” added. He informed that the extended waiting time results from the need to organize a replacement flight, obtain the necessary voting consents over African countries and the time of a replacement plane flight to Zanzibar.

Tourists directed to replacement hotels

TUI’s clients complained of long caravans at the airport.

“This is simply a scandal. People are waiting for hours for the hotel, sit at the airport without any information and basic conditions, and you throw a laconic post on Facebook. So what, since nobody knows anything and has no organization? This treatment of passengers is disrespect and responsibility,” wrote Mr. Darek on Facebook. The next comment showed that he only reached the replacement hotel around 7 am. “At the reception, a crowd of several dozen people, zero organization, zero support,” he wrote.

“Failure. An hour ago there were rooms, and now there are neither rooms nor taxis. In this case, everyone on their own should organize accommodation and demand a refund of the costs incurred. Cocharging at the airport is continuing” – said Mrs. Paulina earlier.
