Polish tourists like hand luggage and promotions. They also have other ways to travel cheaply.

The increasingly high cost of travel is causing travelers to plan their trips more carefully this year. Travelers are now paying much more attention to finding the best deals online. Popular tricks for cheap flights have also appealed to Poles. According to research conducted by the StemMark agency for Kiwi.com, passengers from Poland use a number of methods to reduce the cost of their vacations. These include both popular tricks and slightly more advanced tricks.

Poles are looking for opportunities

StemMark research for Kiwi.com has shown how Poles have been travelling this year. Nearly 40 percent of respondents admitted to planning their holidays much more carefully than a year ago. Almost one-fifth of respondents (17 percent) decided to travel only with hand luggage, which is included in the price of the flight ticket. Poles are also increasingly using the popular “anywhere” option in online flight search engines. It allows you to sort search results by price, without asking about the destination. If the cost of the holiday is attractive, the location is of secondary importance for almost every third Polish surveyee. It is just as easy to choose a less convenient travel date if it helps us save money.

Ways to get cheap flights

The best way to buy cheap flights is to book tickets in advance. Almost 50 percent of Poles use this method, but it is not always effective (especially during hot periods such as holidays or Christmas). Polish tourists are also willing to fly at unusual times. “Respondents from Poland are willing to give up the comfort of flying at convenient times for a cheaper flight at night or early in the morning (17%)” – we read in the information provided by Kiwi.com. Other interesting tricks offered by Kiwi are cheap ticket alerts – you can set them for any route and wait until the price is reduced to the preferred one, and Virtual interlining, i.e. traveling with a transfer you find yourself, which will reduce the cost of the entire flight.
