Poles distance themselves from cryptocurrencies

According to the authors of the study, its results reflect the current market sentiment. In their opinion, the way this topic functions in the Polish public debate has a significant impact on the negative perception of digital currencies.

According to the proposed solutions, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) was to be responsible for issuing business licenses and supervising the market.

Poles’ reservation towards cryptocurrencies is also shown by a survey conducted by CBOS at the end of April and commissioned by “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”. When asked: “Have you invested in and currently own cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin or related assets (e.g. funds?”) Only 6.6% answered affirmatively. respondents. This translates into approximately 2 million people.

The study showed that men invest in cryptocurrencies more often than women (10.4% and 2.2%, respectively). Significant interest was recorded in the younger age group. In the group of respondents aged 18-44, 12.4% declared this type of investment. people, while among people over 44 years of age the percentage dropped to 1.7%.
