Poles assessed the transparency of store promotions. The results are thought-provoking

Almost exactly half of Poles believe that promotions in food supermarkets are clear to them – according to a survey by SW Research for “Wprost”. Many respondents also have the opposite opinion.

Recently, we have been observing a certain trend in supermarkets when it comes to store promotions. We see a price list with information about the lower price in large font. However, when we read it carefully, we also notice the small font. Reading, we learn that the promotion actually exists, but 20 percent. and this is with the purchase of six pieces. Possibly 33 percent. when purchasing twelve pieces of a given product.

The SW Research agency conducted a survey especially for “Wprost” in which Poles of different ages were asked. The question was: “Do you think that promotions in grocery supermarkets are clear enough?”

Are the promotions clear to us?

Opinions on this matter are strongly divided, practically half and half. The answers are as follows:

a) Yes – 49 percent
b) No – 42.6 percent
c) I have no opinion – 8.4 percent.

It seems that despite “hiding” important content, i.e. writing it in small font, this is not a problem for half of us. We know what we buy and for how much. On the other hand, almost half of the respondents admitted that the promotions were not clear at all.
