How does a Pole spend his vacation? He renovates his apartment or paints his house. This is not a joke, but an accurate observation. 69% of those planning to renovate their apartment want to change something in the room, slightly less in the bathroom. We like our hallways the most, because we renovate them the least often.

The data was obtained from March 2023 to March 2024. Oferteo.pl analyzed 36,623 thousand queries that appeared on the platform in the indicated period and concerned topics related to home and apartment renovations.

Poles’ holiday renovations

According to the data, the most popular area of renovation work among the respondents is apartments, where as many as 65% of those ordering work online decided to make changes. The most frequently renovated rooms were bedrooms (69%), bathrooms (63%) and kitchens (58%). There is also interest in renovations of the hall/hallway (52%). Other rooms, such as the hall, are renovated to a lesser extent.

In most cases, clients decide to renovate one room (28%). However, there are also those who plan a general renovation, choosing three or four rooms (17% for both values).

In apartments, the most popular (as many as 39%) rooms to renovate are those with an area of 21 to 50 m². On the other hand, rooms below 10 m² and from 51 to 80 m² are chosen by 19% of those ordering each.

The most common renovation works carried out in apartments include:

Poles rely on the advice of experts

Most online ordering parties (68%) do not have a specific finishing project, but they know what they expect. In turn, 19% ask the contractor for suggestions, and 12% have a finished finishing project.

The largest group, 40%, wants to have the renovation work done as soon as possible. 29% of those ordering the work expect to have to wait 1-3 months for proven and reliable specialists.

– Based on the analyzed data, it can be seen how important a flexible approach to customer needs and the ability to quickly respond to various expectations are.
