Poland is the perfect destination for Easter. We were chosen by tourists from these countries

Turyści w Polsce

Easter is fast approaching. For many people, it is a time of family trips around Poland, but also holidays abroad. What trends are noticeable in 2026? Experts betray.

At the end of winter and the beginning of spring, Poland became a particularly sought-after destination, especially because of the war in the Middle East. Many other European destinations also benefited. Now that Easter is getting closer, many tourists are more and more willing to plan trips or have already made reservations. Experts from Kiwi.com and esky.pl pay attention to this.

Poland is a hit at Easter

Kiwi.com data shows that during this year’s Easter, the number of bookings to Poland almost doubled year-on-year, and the number of passengers increased by about 80%. During this time, trips around our country are organized not only by us, but also by foreigners – most often Spaniards, Czechs, British, Italians and Romanians. Moreover, the number of tourists from Greece and Hungary is gradually increasing.

“For many travelers, Easter is the first opportunity after winter to go on a short trip abroad. Instead of spending the holidays only at the family table, more and more people decide to spend a traveling Easter, combining local traditions with discovering new European cities,” said Daniela Chovancová, Senior PR & External Communications Manager at Kiwi.com.

She pointed out that trips to cities that combine culture, cuisine and seasonal traditions are eagerly chosen. According to Kiwi.com, cities with key airports benefit the most. It was noticed that traffic at Chopin Airport and Warsaw-Modlin increased by over 104%. Katowice also boasts a good result.

Poles will also spend Easter abroad

Experts from the online travel agency eSky.pl also share their observations about Easter trips. What is also crucial here is that more and more Poles plan to spend the holidays away from home. In this case, as above, we are also talking about year-on-year increases – it was researched that over 90% of people will go for Easter. more users than in 2025.

“Instead of a few days at the table, they choose trips that combine rest with discovering new places and cultures,” we read in the release. It was pointed out that when it comes to foreign destinations, eSky customers focus, among others, on: Corfu, Florence and Malaga.

These destinations offer access to interesting attractions, but also beautiful weather. For example, in Corfu, an important celebration takes place on Holy Saturday – residents throw ceramic vessels from their balconies and they smash with a bang on the city streets. All this is the result of a symbolic ritual that means, among other things: new beginning and bring happiness.

In turn, in Florence, on Easter Sunday, the historic Scoppio del Carro procession, or “explosion of the cart”, takes place. Malaga, Spain, will also be drowned in processions – multi-ton platforms with religious figures accompanied by orchestras, candles and thousands of residents and tourists pass through the narrow streets of the historic center.
