At the beginning of this week, Polish Internet users reacted with amazement to the aggressive attitude of Grok, Chatbot from X. The behavior of artificial intelligence was reported to the European Commission, which promises to deal with the matter.
The notification on vulgar attacks by Grok was sent to the European Commission by the Minister of Digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski. The politician noted that the way of artificial intelligence, belonging to Xai Elon Musk, may violate the provisions of the act on digital services (DSA).
Poland reported grocked to the EC
In addition to insults at politicians, the groc “showed off” a few more extremely politically incorrect comments. He ridiculed honorary blood donors, offensively attacked Pope John Paul II, or positively referred to the figure of Adolf Hitler. He also denied the Holocaust crime.
On Wednesday, July 9, the confusion around Grok on RMF FM was commented by the minister of digitization Krzysztof Gawkowski. – I read what is happening and I have the impression that we are entering a higher level of hate speech, which is controlled by algorithms and that in this case today closing your eyes either unnoticed, or laughing at it, and I also saw politicians who ridiculed this is a mistake that in the future may cost a man – he assessed.
The EC will answer the message on Grok
KE spokesman Thomas Regnier during a press conference on Thursday, July 10, confirmed the acceptance of messages from the Polish authorities. – We received a letter from the Polish authorities, which, as always, will be thoroughly analyzed. We will answer in a timely manner – he assured.
He reminded that X as an application with 45 million active users is subject to special, high -level requirements of DSA. It must limit various types of risk for its users. – It is about threats such as violations of fundamental rights or disseminating illegal content – explained the spokesman for the EC.
– We take this matter seriously. We will ensure that DSA is observed – added Regnier. – We are in contact with both the national authorities and the platform X itself – he noted.
It is worth recalling that the European Commission since December 2023 has been conducting proceedings in connection with the allegations of X that the so -called Dark Patterns.
