PlusLiga: Asseco Resovia Rzeszów – PSG Stal Nysa match postponed
On Saturday evening, we reported on the decision of the PSG Stal Nysa Fan Club. Fans announced on social media that due to the fight against the elements, they would not go to Sunday’s PlusLiga match in Rzeszów. As it turned out, a few hours later, the same decision was made by the volleyball team itself.
Initially, there was some friction, because there was no binding, positive reaction to the request from the club from Nysa. Ultimately, however, after an agreement with Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, the competition authorities and television, the Sunday match was postponed.
“With the consent of Asseco Resovia Rzeszów and PlusLiga, today’s match is postponed until October 30. We would like to thank Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, the management of PlusLiga and Polsat TV for their empathy and understanding of the situation. We would also like to thank the fans for their great support! We are heading to Nysa first thing in the morning to help our region fight the elements,” PSG Stal Nysa said.
There was also information from the hosts from Podkarpacie. The match was originally scheduled for Sunday (i.e. September 15) at 14:45.
“Asseco Resovia, summarizing the events of the last few hours, expresses its gratitude to PlusLiga for agreeing to postpone Sunday’s match between Asseco Resovia and PSG Stal Nysa. At the same time, our Club would like to emphasize that from the very beginning it has expressed solidarity with the volleyball players of PSG Stal Nysa, the injured and those fighting the elements, indicating that the position of PLS is crucial for making the final decision. For Asseco Resovia, values such as health and life are the most important. We deeply believe that the flood situation will soon improve and we will once again be able to compete together on the volleyball courts,” we read in a statement that appeared on the Asseco Resovia account on social media.
