PLL LOT is strengthening its presence in Asia. The national carrier will launch a new connection to Hanoi in Vietnam

• LOT Polish Airlines has launched ticket sales for direct flights from Warsaw to Hanoi.

• The inaugural cruise to the capital of Vietnam will take place on March 31, 2027.

• The connection on the Warsaw-Hanoi route will be operated all year round, with a frequency of 3 flights a week.

• Hanoi will become the fifth city to join the Asian long-haul network, complementing the existing offer that includes Tokyo, Seoul, New Delhi and Bangkok.

The Warsaw-Hanoi connection will be operated all year round, with three flights a week. Departures from Chopin Airport will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 15:15, while return flights from Hanoi on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:35 local time. Flights from Poland to Hanoi will last approximately 10 hours and 25 minutes, and on the return route – 11 hours and 20 minutes, offering passengers a comfortable journey on board a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Hanoi – contrasts that create a coherent whole

There are places that need a moment to reveal their character. Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, does not try to seduce anyone with spectacularity – it does it with authenticity. It is multidimensional, full of contrasts and surprisingly harmonious. First impression? Movement. Thousands of scooters, street vendors, the bustle of markets and the rhythm of the city, which initially seems chaotic. However, a few hours are enough to notice that this apparent chaos has its own rules. Hanoi lives on the streets. This is where residents eat breakfast on small plastic chairs, drink strong coffee with condensed milk and lead their daily lives.

A city that is best learned slowly

It’s best to start your morning at Hoàn Kiếm Lake, where locals practice tai chi, run, or simply socialize before starting the day. A moment later, you can get lost in the streets of the Old Quarter, where each street has specialized in a different craft for centuries – from silk products to jewelry and bamboo products. A must-see is the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first national university, a symbol of respect for knowledge and education. A completely different perspective is provided by the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the surrounding historical complex, which allows for a better understanding of the country’s contemporary history. In the evening, it is worth going to a performance of traditional water puppet theater – an art that was born in the flooded rice fields of northern Vietnam and remains one of the most characteristic elements of local culture to this day.

Cuisine for which one travels thousands of kilometers

It’s impossible to talk about Hanoi without mentioning food. The capital of Vietnam is considered one of the most important culinary cities in Asia. This is where pho tastes best – aromatic broth cooked for many hours, served with rice noodles, fresh herbs and beef or chicken. Bun cha was also born in Hanoi – grilled pork served with rice noodles, fresh herbs and a light sauce. At the street stands, it is also worth trying crispy spring rolls, bánh mì, a baguette that is a culinary trace of French colonization, and bánh cuốn – delicate rice pancakes prepared in front of guests.

Coffee is a separate experience. Vietnam is one of the largest coffee producers in the world, and Hanoi is famous for its unique egg coffee – coffee with velvety foam prepared from egg yolks, sugar and condensed milk. It’s dessert and espresso in one.

Hanoi – the beginning of your dream journey

Hanoi is also an ideal starting point for a trip to Vietnam. North of the city is Sapa – a mountainous region famous for its monumental rice terraces, green valleys and villages inhabited by ethnic minorities. The next stop is Ninh Binh – limestone rock formations rising above rice fields, calm rivers and traditional boat cruises through caves and green valleys create one of the most extraordinary landscapes in Asia. The journey through the north of Vietnam ends with Ha Long Bay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site where thousands of limestone islands emerge from the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. This route shows the true diversity of Vietnam – from mountain landscapes, through peaceful valleys and historic sites, to one of the most recognizable natural wonders of the world.
