According to rmf24.pl, it is still not entirely clear what caused such a massive failure. Internal systems, i.e. e-mail boxes and electronic document circulation, also do not work. However, a hacker attack was ruled out as a possible cause. IT specialists at the Ministry of Justice are working to restore all non-working functions as quickly as possible.

Until all problems are solved, petitioners may have problems in offices. For example, obtaining a criminal record certificate or checking important data in the registers.

What are e-KRK and e-KRS?

e-KRK is an IT system that enables electronic access to the National Criminal Register. This register contains information on persons legally convicted, on proceedings pending against them, as well as on persons legally acquitted.

Through the e-KRK system, you can submit an application for a criminal record certificate (often required by employers or in official proceedings), as well as obtain information about entries in the register in an automated and convenient way, without the need to go to a court or office in person.

e-KRS is the electronic version of the National Court Register, which is a database of entrepreneurs, associations, foundations and other legal entities. Thanks to the e-KRS system, it is possible to access information such as:

• data regarding enterprises (companies, foundations, associations),

• composition of the management board,

• information about capital,

• entity’s business status.

e-KRS allows for electronic submission of applications to registry courts, which speeds up the processes related to the registration of new entities and updating their data. It is a tool that significantly simplifies running a business in Poland, ensuring transparency and availability of information.

In turn, Electronic Land and Mortgage Registers allow you to view the content and, for example, submit an application for a copy, extract or closing of a given book.
