Australia, although distant, is an intriguing direction for many of us. A revolution is preparing on the tourist market thanks to which we will get there without change from the European city.
Although it might seem that since we are far from Australia, we will not want to fly there, it turns out that Poles look at this direction very positively. Some time ago, in a survey organized for “Wprost” they replied that if they had to move outside Europe, they would like to choose this distant continent. This may mean that the upcoming direct connection to Sydney will appeal to us. Here’s what a novelty is getting on the market.
From Europe directly to Australia
At the moment, wanting to fly from Europe to Australia, we always have to use transfers. Not only is it tiring, it still lasts at least 23 hours. However, an interesting “Sunrise” project appeared, thanks to which even if traveling did not last much shorter, they would be direct and more convenient.
The idea can become a reality in two years. Qantas airlines want to launch a connection from London to Sydney, and this flight is to take 20 hours and allow you to beat 17,000. km at once. Activities over the launch of this route are at its best. The first plane capable of covering such a route on one refueling is to join the carrier’s fleet next year. New connections are to be launched at the beginning of 2027. For people who dream of such a trip, it will mean a real revolution.
The carrier’s announcement shows that it should be faster and more convenient, but more expensive. One -way tickets are to cost about 5,000 PLN, or approx. 20 percent more than those currently available.

Some may be skeptical about Qantas plans, because the line has already mentioned their idea over 7 years ago and initially wanted to launch the connection to Australia in 2022. Everything did not take place for an important reason. The point was not that the carrier gave up, problems arose due to a pandemic. Currently, the chances of completing the project are to be very high.
It is already known that the new Airbus A350-1000 is to be a new plane of passengers from London to Sydney. This will not only be adapted to record long flights, but also had special equipment. There will be 300 seats at the disposal of tourists, a bunk beds, a children’s playroom, a gym and a bar.
“Airbus A350-1000 is a four-gaping aircraft, which will include one class, business class, premium economy class and economic class. This gives us the opportunity to redefine the experience of all passengers,” announced during the summit Airbus Summit 2025 in Toulouse, Director General Qantas, Vanessa Hudson.
