Piesiewicz will have more problems? Nitras: I will use the help of a lawyer
After reports about the initiation of proceedings regarding Radosław Piesiewicz, a statement appeared. After the statement, Sławomir Nitras’s answer appeared. “I won’t give up emotions,” the minister announced.
According to TVN24, the prosecutor’s office received a notification about the possibility of committing the so -called VAT crime by the President of the Polish Olympic Committee Radosław Piesiewicz. These findings have already been confirmed by the spokesman of the National Prosecutor’s Office Przemysław Nowak.
The basis for the notification is the inspection carried out by the National Tax Administration both with PKol and in the Polish Basketball Association, in which Piesiewicz until recently also served as president. Currently, in the Department of Economic Crime, an analysis of documents collected and provided by KAS is underway.
PKol attacks the Minister of Sport
In connection with the reports, PKol issued an official statement. We strongly deny that in the Polish Olympic committee there were circumstances presented by tvn24.pl consisting in using empty VAT invoices, or the procedure of “money laundering” ” – we read.
“We are surprised by the presented subject of the submitted notification, because the described settlements described in the institutions described have never been the subject of interest of the National Tax Administration during the PKol inspection,” it was written.
In the same statement, an attack appeared towards the Minister of Sport Sławomir Nitras. “We are sorry to notice that this information is part of several months of rhetoric initiated by Sławomir Nitras and is a widely organized attempt to discredit the image of the Polish Olympic Committee and President Radosław Piesiewicz, aimed at politically influenced the activities of the Polish Olympic Committee,” said PKol.

Nitras answered personally to these words on Thursday. – I will not give up emotions, I will not give away to Mr. Piesiewicz. I will definitely use the help of a lawyer, because the allegations he directs at me that I have to influence the decision of the tax administration, it is simply a lie – said the minister.
Similarly, the head of the Sports Ministry responded to the suggestion that he had any impact on the activities of the sponsors who withdrew. – The sponsors withdrew from cooperation with the PKol due to the style of the president’s functioning. I have nothing to do with it – he said.
– Mr. Piesiewicz is very comfortable, bringing everything to the dispute between me and him. I don’t have any personal emotion in this matter. I am a civil servant, I do what I think is appropriate – said Nitras.
