Pensioners have until May 31. ZUS is waiting for the certificates
Early retirees have less and less time to report to ZUS information about their earnings. The date is May 31.
The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) reminds that persons who earn extra money for retirement or pre -retirement allowance must remember to submit a certificate of revenues achieved in the period from March 1, 2024 to February 28 this year by the end of May to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS). ZUS needs such information to verify whether the benefit was paid in the correct amount.

This means that the earmarked pensioners have just over three weeks to report to ZUS information about their additional earnings.
Krystyna Michałek, ZUS regional spokesperson in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, emphasizes that the so-called Earlier pensioners who work and at the same time receive a benefit should be aware of the consequences of exceeding the established earning limits. – If revenues exceed 25 percent or 70 percent The average salary from the previous year, ZUS may reduce or stop the payment of the benefit “ – says Michałek, cited by “Super Express”.
Revenues from work abroad and for being a member of the supervisory board are also subject to settlement.
Employees who receive the benefit must provide ZUS certificates from the employer, preferably with the revenues for each month. In turn, persons conducting business activity make a statement regarding the basis from which they pay contributions.
The newspaper points out that ZUS settles revenues in the most favorable way for the recipient. This can do this for each month separately or sum up revenues from the entire billing period. To avoid reducing or suspending a retirement benefit or pre -retirement benefit, annual revenue in the period from March 2024 to February 2025 may not exceed PLN 21,466.80 gross. Revenue above this amount, but not exceeding PLN 60,06.80 gross will be associated with a reduction in the benefit. In this case, the guaranteed amount of the benefit will be PLN 897.35. If the annual revenue exceeds PLN 60,06.80 gross, then ZUS suspends the payment of the benefit.
